As part of our education and communication component of this project, Connecting the Coast have enabled a Sunshine Coast based speed test tool. 

The benefits of Speedtest.net is the ability to view and analyse your results, together with the ability for Connecting the Coast to collect data for our region to continue our objective of improving broadband services on the Sunshine Coast. 

What is Speedtest.net testing?

Speedtest.net performs three key measurements used to determine the overall quality and performance of your Internet connection.

• Download Speed
  The speed at which data is sent from the Internet to your computer
• Upload Speed
  The speed at which data is sent from your computer to the Internet
• Ping (Latency)
  The time it takes in milliseconds for a small piece of data to be sent from your computer to the Internet and back
