Buying a Property
If you are new to the Sunshine Coast, planning on relocating or investigating a move to the Sunshine Coast we would encourage you to ask specific questions of the real estate agent/developer you are dealing with.
Examples of some of the questions you may choose to use would include:
- Does your new estate have access to fibre-optic network technology?
- What services are available through the network?
- Will I need a TV antenna or satelitte dish to receive free-to-air TV?
- Will I get a choice of service providers on that network?
- Will I be paying more for those services?
- Who is responsible for the maintenance of the network?
- You will need to also confirm which carrier is providing the service as some make arrangements with developers for exclusive services and this limits your choice.
- Some developers or real estate agents may be unclear as to what services or level of services will be available at the time of connection. You may wish to have additional contractual clauses added to ensure any verbal commitments are contractually delivered.
